Mosquito Bite
My in-laws' place is terrible. It is full of mosquitoes at night ... it's like living in the jungle. In fact, I think it could be worse than the jungle. I remember camping at a forest once (at Taman Negara) and there weren't as many mosquitoes there.
Dominic's face and body is full of mosquito bites. Somehow the mosquitoes prefer biting him. Perhaps my own blood is not as tasty as the young and sweet baby's. Can you see the red spots on my baby's face? I wonder if he feels itchy. He hasn't complained about them yet though.
I now have a routine every night. There's a lamp in my room which attracts and kills mosquitoes. This lamp is switched on at around 9pm every night. From then onwards, the rooms has to be dark and the door shut, so that whatever mosquitoes in the room will be killed by the lamp. The most important thing is that the door must be shut, otherwise mosquitoes from the hall will fly in. So whenever I want to get something from the room, I need quickly open the door, get in/out and quickly shut the door. Occassionally, I guess one or two mosquitoes will be quick enough to get in.
At around 10pm, when it is almost time for bed, I will go into the room and "check for mosquitoes". Normally, they will hide under the bed, among the clothes, etc. If I find any of them, I will murder them using the swatter (picture below). It runs on batteries and uses electric current to "shock" the mosquitoes to death. I find this thing extremely effective. You just swing the thing around and once it hits a mosquito it will be burnt in sparks. It's quite fun actually ... and the satisfaction of hearing the mosquitoes explode to death. Hahaha! The evil mosquitoes shall pay for sucking my baby's blood. :p By the way, the mosquito swatter can be purchased at Carrefour for RM14.

Look! No Hands!
At 2-months old, Dominic could already hold his head steady unsupported. The following photos were taken one weekend when Grandma was bathing Dominic. It was the first time I found out that Dominic can actually sit up and hold his head steady unsupported. It was also the first I found out that he has been bathing that way ever since I went back to work 2 weeks ago.

Home with Grandma
It has been 2 weeks since I've gone back to work. Dominic stays home with Grandma. Grandma has to take care of 3 grandchildren, but she said it was okay because Dominic sleeps most of the time. In fact, he sleeps so much that he doesn't wake up on time for his feed. And Grandma conveniently forgot to wake him up. So that I know how much Dominic is eating, I made Grandma write down his feeding time in a table that I've stuck on the fridge. Dominic's feeding schedule for the 1st week is like the table below.
Generally, Dominic's intake has become less ever since Grandma started caring for him. On his 2-month old birthday, we went to his paediatrician. His weight and height were taken and they look normal.
